A good reader

Dear Logan,

Yesterday, from the back seat, I heard “S-T-O-P spells stop!” as we pulled up to a stop sign.  Tonight we were reading your Cars book, and you recognized “Dad” and “Mom” from practising spelling them with your Mom.   And you sounded out “Buzz” while reading it on your boots, all by yourself.  While I was rocking you before bed, I told you you were a good reader, and you said “Thanks!”

We’re pretty lazy parents when it comes to “school” stuff.  We don’t go nuts with trying to teach you stuff like letters, numbers, and reading, the way some parents do.  You seem to do just fine picking most of it up all by yourself.  I think you’re gonna go far, kid.

Love,

Dad
