Bittersweet

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Dear Logan,

Today, Clint put you to bed for your nap.  About 10 minutes later, you came walking out of your room, and said you had to poop.  So he took you to your potty chair, and that’s exactly what you did.  Then you wanted to make sure I knew about your accomplishment. 🙂  We clapped and cheered for you.  Clint took a picture of it.  I won’t post it. 😉

I wasn’t quite sure how we were going to approach potty training.  We just kind of ask you if you want to use your potty chair whenever it seems like you have to go, and today you took us up on it.  I can’t say I’m going to miss all of the diaper changes (well, maybe the blue ones) once you get this perfected, but this milestone really makes you seem so much more like a little boy and so much less like our little baby.  It’s tough to watch you grow up, kid, but I’m trying to soak up every second of it that I can, and it’s everything I ever thought it would be and more.

 Love,

Dad
